Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday

This should be my new blog day because I get later each and every week!.  Anyway…I do have a quote for the week:

Wow…how true is that!

Anyway…the reason for my extreme lateness is due to an Elmo Project that Gavin has for school .   We have to drag him around with us for 2 days and practice words, letters, numbers and shapes and document all that Elmo does with us.  I am going to attempt to insert our story at the end of this but don’t know if I will have luck….

Anyway..this weekend was non eventful.  We went to see Emily sing at the half time of a pageant on Saturday night.  Here are a few photos:

She had a solo and was so very very good.  If you are interested here is the link to the you tube video:

Anyway, isn’t that picture of Shelby and Emily walking arm in arm so cute?  Shelby came home from college for the first time this weekend so we were glad to see her.

Sunday I don’t think we left the house.  Here are a few photos of my projects this week at the house:

The last thing is an L covered in corks with magnets added to the back for the fridge. Very cute project…

Anyway…here is our Elmo Project:

Dearest Elmo:

We wanted to write you today to thank you for the wonderful adventures over the past two days at The Lollis Home. Gavin really enjoyed all of your adventures. We hope you did too. We wanted to take this time to write down all that we did so you can remember our adventures and so we can share with our class what we did in our time together.

First of all when we left Starchild Academy on Monday, September 26th it was raining. There was so much rain that we were not sure what to do. Gavin came up with a great idea. He would hug you all the way to the car and protect you from the rain. We jumped in the car and Gavin kept you nice and dry. We buckled up and off we went. First, upon arrival at home you and Gavin both changed in to matching Cars PJ’s. Here you are in your digs:

Don’t you look so cute? Next, Gavin was so excited about the Elmo folder that we jumped right in to going over our numbers, shapes and words. It was so much fun. Do you remember when you had trouble sitting on the counter Elmo? We fixed you right up by buckling you in to a booster seat:DSCN1165

Gavin went over everything in detail you until it was dinner time. We don’t have any photos of this event but you and Gavin ate a LOT and had a ball. There may even be some ketchup left on your chin.

Next we did the regular bath , story and bed time. You and Gavin slept very well. On Tuesday Gavin decided that you needed to stay home and keep our dog Chase occupied while he went to school . Gavin got dressed and off he went. Rumor has it there was even a fire drill at school. Upon Gavin’s arrival home from school he dressed you for karate:

We did get interrupted , however, because Gavin wanted to show you to our neighbor and classmate, Ella:elmo 005elmo 008

From this picture I would say that all three of you had fun playing in Ella’s sandbox. Next, you and Gavin spotted your words in Ella’s house and went in for a quick practice:

Next it was off to karate for you and Gavin. Gavin was thrilled that you are already a black belt Elmo as that is just what Gavin would like to be:

Both you and Gavin had a great time at karate and you even got to meet Ms. Hoover:

Next we ate dinner:

and then on to doing our words, letters and reviewing our shapes one more time:

Then off to bed for you and Gavin.

We will miss you Elmo. You go back to school on Wednesday, September 28th and you will then go home with Julia. We hope that you have fun with her family together with the rest of the families of the students of Jr. Pre-K D and their families. We hope you will cherish the memories of our time together. Come back soon!

Sincerely,

Chris, Stefanie and Gavin Lollis
