little of this and a little of that

Good Monday evening to everyone! Time to get caught up here. Seems I get later and later each week. Last week on Tuesday Chris finally arrived home from New York. We were so glad to see him. He decided to keep Gavin home and go spend the day with him. Boy did they have fun. They decided to go to Disney World. As soon as the park opened I started getting picture messages at work on my phone. I would like to share them with everyone. READY?

Then Chris informs me that there is literally NO ONE in the park and they have already gone on every ride they can go on. So what did they do next? They went to SEA WORLD!!!!!! Spent the afternoon there and this is the photo I received from there:

Gavin just loves Cookie Monster. Can you tell?

Before you know it we were at the end of the week. Chris had to fly to New York on Friday to work but came back the same day. Of course I have a full schedule at work and daycare calls and Gavin has what appears to be the onset of pink eye. I went to pick him up and my friend Lisa, who by the way is a LIFESAVER, came to my office to get him for me! Gavin spend the afternoon with her awesome kids and they just had a blast. Gavin did not have pink eye. I think something at school was bothering his eyes. He ended up being fine. Friday night Chris came home and the kick off to our weekend began. Saturday morning I went over to the Y and started my running routine. I am running in 2 different 5 K's in April so it is time to get cracking! After that we went to Monkey Joe's with Tony and his son Grayson. It was so much fun! Here are the photos:

Following that adventure we headed over to O'Boy's BBQ with the Kentucky group for some basketball. We were also meeting some friends of ours that live in Kentucky that were visiting. Gavin got to hang with the Tillery's gorgeous and precious little girl Gracie! She went in for a kiss and GAVIN KISSED HER BACK. The dads went out back and had a talk. Here are some photos of the little devils:

It was so funny. Afterwards we went over to our friend Tom's house and had a bbq. Gavin like the Key Lime Pie for dessert:

Needless to say, a busy Saturday.

Sunday we headed out to Disney. What a mess. It was supposed to be 64 degrees but ended up not even hitting 50. It was so cold that we left by lunch time. We did ride enough rides to make it worthwhile but I only got one photo and that was as we were exiting "It's a Small World" .......it was the goodbye sign in every language. How appropriate as we were OUTTA THERE!

Had to add these two photos.....Gavin crashed out:

The rare photo of Chris and I:

What has Gavin been up to this week? Well a lot of saying NO. Very age appropriate. He is just a parrot. He repeats everything. One of the cute things he does is every time something bad happens such as tv is turned off or he drops something for falls he says "UT OH HAPPY". We could not figure out why he was saying this. I finally figured it out. I always say "ut oh what happened"? Guess he found his own version of what I always say. He is still talking a good talk about the potty but no luck there. He is lining things up left and right. Here is an example of what he was up to on Sunday:

He is back in his bed and we already have the NEW bed in the house but not out of the box. Here is the box at the front door:

I can't wait for it to be opened. Dad is not quite ready yet so we will wait a while.

Also, Gavin has a new play area in the front of our pool table room. I think I mentioned that last week. This is what we have set up so far:

Next project on the horizon is the hanging of the photos finally.....here are the photos on the floor lined up:

I will post photos of the final product.

Next on the agenda is Gavin's birthday party. We are going to have it at the local park where there is a great little playground. Gavin loves the park so we thought that would be a good idea. Well there you have it. Everyone have a great week :)
