Laying Low...missing daddy....

I know this is unbelievable but we actually have very little to report this week! Chris had to travel to New York to work on Wednesday and is still gone. He will be back on Tuesday. We miss him so much because he certainly makes our weekend adventures so much fun. Gavin and I just hung out together this weekend. We did leave the house a few times but not much. Of course, Friday we were at Papa Joes' for our Friday night dinner and Gavin was so very very good. He sat in a booth between myself and Sandy in a booster seat. He just loved it. Wished I would have taken a picture. Saturday we just did chores around the house and Christie and her girls came over. Makayla, the youngest, and Gavin have been friends since birth. It is so cute to see them together. Here are a few photos:

Later we spent some time setting up our Leapster Jr. that Santa brought ( I KNOW...finally). Gavin just loved it. Here are a few pictures of him scanning his books:

I just enjoyed the heck out of the one on one time with my sweet little boy. Of course we spent a lot of time on the phone with daddy.

BACK to the above (I know I am skipping around here) ......after the kids enjoyed some play time we went out for lunch and a little shopping. Just the girls and Gavin. He did not seem to mind. When we got home I was cleaning out some cabinets and of course Gavin was getting in to everything. He was so funny with a pair of reading glasses he found. Here are a few shots:

Sunday was a lot of fun. Again, uneventful for the most part but Gavin did eat his eggs for the first time at home. A funny thing about him is that he won't eat things at home that they say he eats well at school. Still no luck with the potty...but I did order a potty training book. More cleaning and we moved almost all of Gavin's toys to our new PLAY area in the front of the pool table room. Gavin was digging the tv on the wall! We also went grocery shopping and Gavin got a haircut and we ran to Target. After all that we went to a local park we go to all the time and we played for about an hour and a half. Love this park and so does Gavin. At dinner tonight Gavin ate his veggies for the first time at home too. He has never eaten his veggies for me! Don't want to speak to soon but maybe this is a sign of things to come!

Looking forward to a few things coming up. First, Chris coming home Tuesday, second, a friend of Chris's from high school and her husband and daughter are coming to visit the area and we are going to hit the parks with them next week, thirdly, my dad is coming for his annual visit in a few weeks and then a few weeks after that my mom is coming for almost 2 weeks and then we have Shana, Emily and Gavin's birthdays. We have so much to be thankful for! In closing, I want to show you a video of Gavin playing the harmonica. He LOVES all of his musical instruments ! Here you go and have a fabulous week everyone:
