I have the BEST quote ever this week…ready…..
See that! That is precisely what Gavin did. A FANGtastic job all weekend. The poster is from his karate promotion on Saturday which I will go in to more detail on below after I rattle off everything else.
So last week was uneventful. We did go for a bike ride on Wednesday night which was nice. Then on Friday it was PUT ON YOUR SEATBELT because it was a ride! Let’s start with Friday at school. Gavin got to wear his costume to school. There was a parade of costumes at 10. Chris and I missed out because we were at work. We did see some photos on the Starchild website. At 2:30 we joined Gavin and his class for their PARTY. Here are some photos:
As you can see Gavin is “The Cat in the Hat” and it is so super cute. Next that same day at 4:30 was “Trunk or Treat”. It is an event in the school parking lot where the kids trick or treat at the decorated trunks of the parents cars. This is the 3rd year of this event and it was super fun as always. We went with our neighbor and Gavin’s classmate Ella.
As you can see they had a great time. The weather was iffy but we made it through. Next we were off to the “Fall Festival” at Northland Church with our neighbors. The tickets were $5 and you had to bring a toy for a toy drive. In we went and there were free pony rides, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, petting zoo and bounce houses. It was so much fun! Here are our photos…starting with the pony ride:
Can you believe all that? The kids and we had such a great time! Next we had to stop by Josh’s house. It was his dads 40th. We just stopped for a few minutes but as usual enjoyed the company.
So Friday was over and we were already exhausted. I do want to show you something that made me very happy this week:
This s a clock collection my mom gave me. I LOVE IT! So very my style! Thanks MOM…you mad me very happy. Speaking of clocks…this is the progress of my clock wall:
We are moving it but we are not sure where. We like it here but don’t LOVE it here. Speaking of projects…this is my little one from this past week:
Let’s not forget the nice cards and packages for Gavin for Halloween. Both grandma’s made this little guy a very happy little dude this week. He covered himself with the stickers from grandma (and loved the jersey of course) and he can’t wait to go to McDonald on grammie:
Saturday was Gavin’s big big day. Belt promotion again. We thought this was the yellow belt but quickly learned that each color the kids get the next rank is the same color with a black stripe through it. I was worried that Gavin was going to melt down over this because we had talked about getting his “yellow” belt for weeks and they did not hand him a “yellow” belt. He was fine though. He love the multi color. Here are some photos from this VERY important day:
The poster you saw at the top is the poster we made for Gavin’s promotion. Each time there is a theme and this time is was Halloween. Chris and I worked hard on the poster and the good news is that GAVIN WON the poster contest! YaY!
Next it was off to his friend Makayla’s birthday party:
It was a PINKALICIOUS Party…….so very cute and more cotton candy…oh dear.
Next Chris and I went for a ride out to look for a work vehicle for Chris. NO luck…will keep trying. After that mom and dad had a date night.
After all that we did not do a darn thing today except something like this:
So tomorrow is Trick or Treat and off we go in to Chris’s 40th birthday and then we roll right in to the holiday season.
Wow…everyone have a great week.
