Sweet Sweet Weekend

Well here we are.  Another weekend come and gone.  We had some cooler weather this weekend but today we will be back to 80 degrees with limited humidity which is a really nice day here in Florida.

Our week last week just flew by and before you know it…it was Friday.  Friday night Gavin and I had a visitor:  DSCN1543

Yes, Charlie Freddie Freddie made another appearance.   My my has he grown.

Have I mentioned that Gavin loves homework?  Yes he does.  Here he is sitting down taking it very seriously.

Here are a few photos of my Thanksgiving decorations and my “clock” collection.  I just love the way this looks on our living room shelves:

So our non eating child has taken a liking to Steak and Shake.  He loves going there for the hat and the paper car that you make when you get there.    Look how happy he is:

We went there for breakfast on Saturday and then off to “Uncle Phil’s” in Jacksonville.  We were going for a visit and taking some “stuff” up for Phil to transport to my dads in New York this week.  Here is Chris and Phil packing it all up:

Gavin quickly recruited Nick to play “the fishing game” with him:

He made himself right at home in the house (notice the Navy shirt)

Then he recruited the guys to play with him outside:

In the meantime, Nick and Dicky  had a mean game of cribbage going:

Gavin quickly found the “Thomas” VCR tapes.  This confused him thoroughly:

He got to play with “Matthew” who was visiting from Hawaii:

and LOVED Aunt Carol who gave him everything he wanted.

Sunday was busy busy with another birthday party and getting the household stuff caught up.  In the evening we settled in for some Shrek and some chocolate milk and popcorn:

Lastly, I want to forewarn everyone that my Christmas Cactus that I have been LOVING since I got it from my grandmothers plant 8 years ago is getting ready to bloom. I finally last year found out the trick to making that happen and I got 2 or 3 flowers last year.  RIGHT NOW I have 10 blooms.  This makes me BEYOND happy!  My grandmother would be proud!

Everyone keep your fingers crossed this week because my niece and her glee group made it through the 2nd round try outs for America’s Got Talent……we will know more in January we think and hopefully we will be seeing them all on TV…HOW EXCITING!

Have a great week…..and hi to my dad who I heard is tuning in now Smile  xoxo to all.
