The Calm before the Storm....

In life it is the calm before the storm for us, however, if you thought I was talking about the weather it is actually the calm after the storms here in Florida. We got some much needed rain this week during a week that we are prepping for some much needed down time. So lets get this started. Gavin started the week with some good news. His school got new water features for "water day". Here is a sneak peek:

I think the kids are going to have a great time! The summer is so much fun at Gavin's school. I can not tell you how much, to this day, we are so happy we can send Gavin to this school. They have taught him so much! They also had a petting zoo come to school this week. They got go dress up like farmers and play with the little animals. I took these photos off of the school website:

During the week we have been working with Gavin and talking to him about saving money. He is very in to his piggy bank and is saving for "a train ride":

He also enjoyed playing with my music box jewelry box that my grandmother gave to me when I was little. He loves it because it is soft and blue and it plays music:

So once we hit the weekend Chris and I ventured down to a birthday party for our friend Amanda at Universal City Walk. We did not stay long because we were pooped but here are a few photos:

Saturday morning it was off to Lowe's for the Build and Grow workshop with Josh and his dad and his sister. We made a little boat with a flag on it. We had such a great time:

Saturday evening...uneventful other than going to get a new dryer because ours is fried. Sunday was the day Gavin was waiting for all week. We went to see the Cars 2 movie with our neighbor Ella. It was a good movie but no where close to as good at the first. It was way more advanced to follow and Chris and I both thought it was way more advanced and not really easy for a child to follow. Anyway...it was still OK and we enjoyed our day out:

When we got home Gavin also had to play some Cars2 on Wii:

So that is about it except Gavin is proud of his new hat. He just looks too cute

So...this week holds month end for me (very very busy) and Chris will be traveling a bit for work. Next weekend starts our 2 weeks of fun. We are going camping at Wekiva Falls Resort with friends. We will then come back and have 3 days before we head off on our cruise. Catch up with every one next weekend. Enjoy your week!
