Not a normal week ........

Hi everyone.....definitely not a normal week but an ok one. Gavin went to My Gym for is regular open play on Monday and we agreed to sign up for a test class on Wednesday. This was an independent class where me or Chris do not participate. We thought we would give it a go but with reservations. It went well and Gavin just loved it. It appears we will now be doing basketball on Monday's and this class on Wednesday's. Here are some photos from Wednesday:



Oh..I forgot to mention...in this class they asked them each their favorite dessert. Gavin claimed that his was "chicken nuggets" LOL. No wonder he is a rock star and their favorite student. He is handsome, witty and well behaved too!


A really really cool thing happened this week. My Christmas cactus started to bloom for the first time ever. I have spoken about this before and wondered why it never bloomed. I asked an expert back in November. A man that I saw at a festival that was selling blooming Christmas cactus'. He told me to put it in a dark closet for a month. No water and no light. Take it out and give it water and it will bloom in a month from then. WAaaaaaalaaaaa.....I have two flowers getting ready to bloom. Not as many as I had hope but still something. February 2003 is when I received a piece of this plant. It was my grandmothers. I have nurtured it in to a very large and beautiful plant. So glad I am going to have some flowers soon!



Let me give you a hint of what else has been going on around here this week:

Yes, I have been sick and now Chris has it. Nasty cold crap but we are fine. No fun thought.

Also, this week my niece Shelby lost her grandmother. Very very sad. Here is a a nice picture from just a few months ago of the two of them.



On Friday, Chris and I attended the funeral and then picked Gavin up from school early. We took him to his first movie. Yogi Bear. It was 82 minutes and he did great until the last 10 minutes and then he still was not bad, just restless. Here are a few pictures:



Friday night we followed with a 2 nd week in a row at Papa Joe's! That was fun as well.

Saturday we just ventured out and got my new ipad and got Gavin's hair cut. This is what most of our day looked like:

Today was fun to start with. Gavin had to attend Ella's birthday party. He has been looking forward to this for some time. It was at the My Gym. This is where Gavin's party will be so it was great to see how fun the party will be. Gavin was so very very cute. He followed Ella the ENTIRE time. Ella's mom sent me these photos because my camera crashed today. As you can see where there is Ella there is Gavin. They had such a great great time as you can see:








Lastly, we spent the rest of the day just catching up around here. Not doing a whole lot...well...except Gavin taking a 3 hour nap after the party and him stealing my ipad again!

As for this week.....I am off tomorrow and Tuesday. My days are going to be filled with catching up on getting my car serviced, having an eye exam, redeeming a gift card for a massage that I got for Christmas, going to a Yoga class and working on organizing my photos....not sure what I am going to do about my broken camera! Of course it had to break in the same week and AFTer I bought the ipad! Oh well....everyone have a great week. More to come.
