Easter....

It was a great week. Great weather, great progress here at the house and we started out by coloring eggs. Well, Chris colored eggs. Gavin played with stickers and I took pictures:

Then Gavin wanted lots of hugs:

As you can see, it was my pleasure. He is sooo incredibly sweet. He will just blurt out "I YUV YOU MOMMY or I YUV YOU DADDY"

The final product:

My cousin Rhonda sends Gavin gifts on every single holiday without fail. Gavin just loves it. This year our first shipment from Rhonda contained a cool duck hamper. Gavin played with this all night Friday and the next morning:

By the way...thank you grammie and grandma for the money and the McD's gift card. Gavin loves them!

Friday night we went to Papa Joe's as usual. The Norelli family brought Gavin a great little Easter basket. This was awesome as you can see:

Let me tell you. Gavin gets lots and lots of attention! Must be his sparkling personality! Speaking of sparkling personality:

Yes, the picture above is on the way to St. Augustine. Gavin would not let go of the basket that he was given the night before. So very very cute.

Anyway, onward to St. Augustine. Camping. YES...camping, kind of. My dads lifelong friend Phil Potts has a motor coach and we were meeting them at their friends KOA in St. Augustine. We decided to stay in a cabin there. Upon our arrival, Gavin was very interested in the motorcycles so Phil was kind enough to let Gavin sit on his with him:

Off to lunch we went. We went to a great waterfront restaurant and Phil ordered chicken. Look how it came out:

I guess he should have ordered fish. Next, Chris and myself and Gavin took a ride in to St. Augustine. First sight, was the lighthouse:

Then we got on a train tour:

and here is a peek at what we saw:

Then back to the campground to hang out with Phil and Carol, Nick, and the owners Ed and Jen. Jen had a few surprises for us. First, she took us in to see her parrots:

Then Gavin got to feed the ducks:

Then after he was entertaining all of the adults for a long long time...off we went to bed in our little cabin. In the morning, of course, the Easter Bunny had come:

There was one happy little boy:

Here we are sitting out on the swing on the front porch of our cabin:

at breakfast (lining up our toys again!):

after breakfast we rented a bike that we could all ride:

Then an Easter egg hunt and some ice cream (YES AT 9:30 a.m.)

Here is Phil's new bus:

and a view of the camp ground:

Then we were out of there and headed 40 some miles away to a town called Crescent City for lunch. This was our view:

And the whole gang at lunch:

We made it home at 4:30 and had to unpack the car and get ready for the week. The big thing we had to do is make cookies for Gavin's party tomorrow at school. This is what Chris and I came up with:

Well here we are Sunday night and I am exhausted so...have a great week.
