Weekend Update

Hello everyone! I am going to start off with some pictures from last Sunday that I forgot to post. The Davis Family came over for a crab boil and I decided to allow the kids to get the Play-Doh. After all...what is the big deal? I don't understand why people won't let their kids play with it. I don't understand why you can't just cover the table and let the kids go at it. Well...without even going in to detail and saying anything further...the kids had a great time and I NOW GET IT. I am donating that crap to Gavin's school. Hope Gavin and his friends enjoy these pictures because they are a great memory:

This week started out pretty bad. Chris and I both had a bug and were both throw up sick. HORRIBLE. We came around quick and back to work I went for a busy busy busy week. This is good!!! Chris was busy doing research to decide what his new career is going to be. After much consideration he is choosing something in the medical field and is going back to school. He meets with a counselor at the local college tomorrow and off we go on a new adventure. He is very excited! He starts his classes in about a month. While he is in school he is going to continue to try to get some survey work on the side and he has also taken the class and is registering with Seminole County to do substitute teaching.

Wednesday when I went to pick Gavin up his teacher informed me the Gavin went on the potty at school. Obviously, this was a very big deal and we went home and he did AGAIN for me! We immediately had dinner and headed out for a celebration of some ice cream. Here are a few pictures :

We have not had any luck since then but it was still very exciting.

Thursday Chris went to the doctor hoping to be taken off the crutches but no can do. He is a LOT bummed and 2 more weeks of this to go.

Friday Chris went over to Tampa for the Yankees/ Phils Spring Training game with some friends and our weekend kicked off. Friday night Gavin and I went to Papa Joe's with Sandy and really had a nice dinner.

Saturday was filled with errands for mom and then off to Fort Mellon Park in Sanford. Really really nice park, however, too crowded! It was, after all, the first really nice day we have had. Here are the photos:

Back to the house and mom and dad had to get ready for the babysitter to come because we had a 50th birthday party to attend for our good friend Tom. A few photos from that event:

As you can see, we were among a lot of Kentucky fans and of course that did not end well and it kinda brought the crowd down.

Sunday, I left the house at 7:30 and did a very high paced walk with my friend Judy. We went 8 miles and completed it in just under 2 hours. It was a great way to start off the day. Back to the house for household chores. We just hung around the house and Gavin was super super good. He literally ate everything in sight today and spent a lot of time working on his letters at the refrigerator:

Lastly, I wanted to show a few extra photos. First, Gavin got an award at school this week for his Preschool Olympic Games:

Gavin going through my wallet:

And finally...we can't wait to do this!
Have a great week everyone.
