Hello everyone! A day late here because of the three day weekend. I am going to start with the few things that Gavin did new this week. Firstly, he is drinking out of a cup and not spilling it on himself. He is wearing Pull Up's however the potty training is not going at all. He is not interested although he talks a good talk. Yesterday as we were walking and holding his hand he started singing "Bob the Builder, can we fix it". WHAT A SENTENCE RIGHT? We could not believe it. This morning he, while in his stroller started counting from 1 to 10 all by himself. Lastly, he has now started calling Mickey Mouse "Key Mouse". Soooo cute!
Ok so this was a week of firsts. This is the first time since Gavin was a newborn that Chris has had to travel for work. He was working in Pittsburgh. The other first was that Chase had to stay home all by himself from the time Gavin and I leave at 7 a.m. until 5:30 in the evening. I was so worried about him that the first day I came home from work early and this is what I saw:
Not bad, eh? He was enjoying the comfortable weather for the first time in almost 2 weeks. The week just flew by and Gavin and I survived daddy being gone. Saturday we were invited to a birthday party at a co-workers house. She was one of my co-workers when I worked in Mt. Dora. She lives on 10 acres and they have cattle and all kinds of fun other animals. The party was full of horse rides, hayrides, there was a pinata and lots of good food and company. Gavin was really good on the hour and a half drive out there. Here are some photos:
After the party, Gavin and I slid down to my sisters for dinner. It was very spontaneous, but fun. Chris arrived home very late Saturday and Gavin and I were so happy. Sunday morning we got up and took a little trip over to the zoo. Holy moly has that zoo come a long way since we were there in March. A paved parking lot, sidewalks instead of dirt paths, the whole entrance was re-done and most importantly..there were more snakes. Don't get me wrong, mommy does not like snakes but Gavin sure does. The first time we went to the zoo when he was 8 months old they made him get very excited. Here are a few zoo shots:
Monday we got up and went to Hollywood Studios with Shana and all of the kids. Gavin, as usual had a blast. We don't get to see ALL of the kids that often so it was very cool to see them. Our favorite things today at Hollywood Studios were the stunt show, TOY STORY ride and and we just loved loved loved the Tower of Terror. Shana watched Gavin so that we could go on an adult ride.
At the end of the day Gavin would NOT take a nap. We kept putting his stroller down so he could sleep but he would prop himself right back and and this is how he INSISTED on napping:
Some other news....Chris is probably going to work in San Diego this week. We are just so fortunate that he has work and just hope it keeps coming!
So that is about it for this week. I am going to leave with some videos for the first time in a while:
