Our life...one week at a time....: Fall and Phillies

Hope everyone had a great week. We sure did. Let me tell you that Gavin is so excited that the Phillies are going to the World Series. See what he did when we told him:

Our week was just as normal as usual except it was the highlight of the week when Gavin got some new books from grandma:

Friday night was the usual Papa Joe's. Saturday morning Chris played golf and I took Gavin to his swim lesson. We had a great time. Saturday afternoon when Chris got home we decided to head on over to the pumpkin patch in Longwood. It was so much fun that NONE of us wanted to leave.

When we first walked in Gavin was a little confused:

Then he TOOK off......

Then he thought very carefully about what he was going to do next:

He first decided to THINK about touching the pumpkins:

Then he went straight for the funky looking one:

Then I tried to talk him in to a normal looking pumpkins:

Instead he decided to really go for it and pick up the biggest one in sight:

Then off to see the little animal statues:

Then he decided to have a little talk with a pumpkin:

And then make another failed attempt to pick up the biggest one in sight:

Finally, dad took the bull by the horns and put Gavin in a wagon and started the search for the perfect pumpkin:

And off we go to pay:

It was super super fun.

On Sunday, Gavin and dad stayed home in the morning while I walked in the Susan G. Koman 5K Walk for the Cure. It was out at the University of Central Florida. There were 8000 participants and it was just a super duper event to be a part of. We walked for my friend Lisa's sister Stacey who is my age and is battling breast cancer. She is the one wearing all pink in the photos:
