Long time no post , huh? Seems like forever.
Last week, as previously posted, my cousin passed away. I headed to NY for the funeral, Chris stayed home solo and Gavin spend a few days in Quakertown with his grandparents, cousins and Aunt Erika. When we boarded the plane Gavin was out...needless to say....this made the flight go very smooth as seen below:
Gavin had a great time and I am going to show everyone by sharing these photos stolen from my sister in laws photos on Facebook of their ventures:
Gavin playing basketball with his cousin Brent:
This one...I am so glad to see that Brent and Gavin did not make the trip in to the "Dress Barn"
This is Ashely and Brent loving on Gavin:
This looks fun but you should have seen the hall walls when they got done with them!
Nothing like fries to make a kids day!
Looks like Gavin and Brent really had a blast:
Needless to say....it was a very very sad day on Wednesday and Thursday and my heart aches so much for my Aunt Rosie and the entire family! Wednesday when we went to my dads to spend the night I will tell you that Tyler (yes my brother Tyler the Beagle) was so excited to see us:
The weather was cool. In the 60's during the day and 40's at night. They have had a ton of rain so everything was really really green. Here is a photo of my dads house that I just love:
Thursday after the funeral we headed up to Central NY to visit with my Aunt Rosie and keep her company for a few days. I really enjoyed visiting with Lucy, who is my Aunt Rosie's mother in law. She is 89 years old and she has lots of stories to tell. We spent Friday going to a REAL farmers market where they even sold chickens, ducks and pigs....see below:
Then off to an Amish store that was awesomely cool and we did a little antiquing and had some real soft serve. Here are a few photos:
Before heading back we swung in to West Kill and saw a few friends. The mountains were so beautiful that I have to share a few photos:
The second photo above is taken on Beech Ridge at that spot that we call the "phone booth". There is no cell phone service in West Kill EXCEPT if you stop in this very spot you might get lucky. SOOOOoo if I am up there and talking to you from the "phone booth" this is the view.
From there we headed back down to PA to pick up Gavin. He looked like he had grown a foot to me! He enjoyed his time with his grandparents and let me tell you he has been talking up a storm since we left. The past few days at school they have told us that he has been talking all day long. We are sure it is because he can now hear better so we are thanking our lucky stars for the tubes.
Until next time......
