It is just how the cookie crumbles

Good morning everyone!

When it rains it pours, right? So our week started out a little rough. Gavin was up all night Sunday night. Of course we figured it was the ears or the teething again. Off to school we go . This is the day that you wish everyone at work(clients..not my co-workers) had a clue what my night was like last night and could have just walked my shoes for 5 minutes. NOPE....I get the day kicked off by being aggravated and it went down hill from there . Mid day we get the call from the daycare that Gavin is covered in a rash. I assumed it was the school over reacting again but NO...he is covered in a rash. Here is a photo of that first day:

Contact rash...can't pin point what it is. Our guess, either the peanut flavor that was in the ice cream we gave him a bite of the night before or the antibiotics. Of course he is not supposed to have any peanut butter until 2 and we break the rules! Did not seem to bother Gavin though. He was his regular jovial self. The rest of the week was ok. Wednesday night I was getting everything ready to go to the hospital for Gavins tube surgery Thursday morning. I had a great plan of taking him in his PJ's while still asleep since we had to be there at 6 a.m. That plan failed. Off to the South Seminole Hospital. Surgery could not have gone any better. Here is a photo of our little patient:

He was a rock star there as he is every place we go. The doctor came out 15 minutes after they took him away and told us that there was scarring on his ear drum. This could be from prior tubes (which we don't have) or a previously burst ear drum. Well...must be the latter. I am so glad we are taking care of the little guys ears. He has suffered way to long and this is proof of that. We were home by 9:45 and Gavin cried almost all day until we finally got him down with daddy for a nap.

By the evening he was all back to normal. His rash is finally gone and we snacked out on oreos because after all...that is how the cookie crumbles:

This morning he woke up at 4:30 again..so here I am typing to kill time until it is time to get ready for work. We will catch up with everyone after the weekend! Hope everyone has a good one :)
