So my last post still had us on vacation and then I was going to move on. Not so quick. I forgot an entire part of our trip. This was when my dad and Chris and Gavin went to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I totally forgot because those photos were not on my camera. So here it goes:
There are way more photos but this is the highlight. Chris even got Gavin his very own genuine Louisville Slugger and he could not be more proud of his bat.
So now that we got that out of the way we are back to life here in Florida. Last weekend we headed off, on Saturday to the Nationwide Series race at Daytona. It was a beautiful day. We started out at the camp ground with my dads friends (my dad did not make it this year ) and then on to the races:
Sunday was no different. We were very busy. Starting the day off by our entire family being baptized in church together. It was a wonderful service and I am glad we could scratch this off our “to do” list. After that we headed over to Gavin’s friend Joshua’s house for his 4th birthday party. I really got little to no good photos but here goes:
Our week was pretty jammed packed this week as Gavin had karate and I started kick boxing on Monday and Wednesday nights. Friday was Gavin’s belt promotion for karate:
Although Gavin did get his belt, we were not very happy with his behavior that evening. He was not his normal self that he is at karate and demonstrated behavior afterwards that was worthy of his first restriction. No trains until Tuesday.
Next we were on to Saturday. Universal Studios……it was so much fun. There were no crowds and beautiful weather:
After this Chris and Gavin went to see the Lorax. I went to finish a “girls only day” with my sister, Shelby and Emily and her friends for Emily’s 12th birthday. We did this at the Nickelodeon Hotel. Boy did I feel bad not having Gavin with me. This place was amazing. Here are some photos:
So that pretty much wraps it up. I am now up to date. I wanted to just add two more things to this other than what we are doing. The first thing is Gavin’s report card. It was perfect so we were so proud:
and then his spelling test this week:
perfect again!
Next, my office/craft room is really coming along. Here are some updated photos:
Don’t you love the new ceiling lamp and the reflections of flowers it reflects on the walls and ceiling? I just want to put a table in the center of the room for a workspace and a black shag rug and my wish list is complete.
Anyway….off to wrap things up (grocery list, to do list for the week and a little laundry) before the week starts all over again. It is Gavin’s birthday week after all!
Soooo…..good to be caught up on this!
