and we meet SANTA........

But first...before you hear about meeting Santa...there are a few things you must know. First, in the spirit of Thanksgiving...let's all be thankful for what we have and remember:

Gavin has a new love. Here name is Jessie from Toy Story 2......day and night..."I don't want Buzz Lightyear I want Jessie. " Gavin also says that he wants Bullseye (who is Jessie's horse). He plans on asking Santa for these two. Little did Gavin know...way back in June that the lady hugging him soon would become his new love:

Here is Bullseye...just in case you did not know:

Secondly...what we have doing this week is obsessing about Christmas and Santa. On a short trip to the grocery story this week, Gavin spotted the Hallmark store. He wanted to go over and see the lights so bad that he asked and asked and asked. Sooo...this is what we did. We went over, looked at the Christmas tree in the window. Gavin said WoWWWW over and over and over and then asked to go in. We ended up in the store for about 20 minutes looking at all the ornaments. Clearly, when it comes to LOVING Christmas decos..the apple did not fall far from the tree. The next day we were driving through the same parking lot and I hear "mommy, lights again please....please....please." Needless to say we took another trip over to the Hallmark store....and so it begins. We will be putting up the tree this year and hopefully adding a train this weekend.

Here is a flashback to cuteness form last year:

On Saturday, Gavin had a play date with his friend Ainsley from the My Gym. We just love this family that we just met a few months ago and Gavin just loved playing at their house. We surely did not mind the company either and a good time was had by all. We sure will be doing this again soon:

Then we moved on to Ginger Breadmen. They laughed the entire time as Gavin kept licking the icing off. Ainsley thought that was so funny:

and baby Archer (Ainsley's brother) did not miss out on the fun. He was so good and smiley and happy as always:

Sunday morning...I had big plans. I was going to take on the 6 to 8 hour task of making my grandmothers rolls. Tried it once and it was a bust. Tried today and added a little patience and exactness and I hit the nail on the head. The rolls are perfect. I am very excited. Here are the photos:

As you can see, Gavin really was interested in this process:

This process really wore out Chase and Gavin:

Then it was time to move stuff around so we could prepare for Christmas decos. Gavin's got a re-do of his play area and was excited to get most of his toys in his room for the time being:

And the reason this area is clear is to make way for the tree!

Off this afternoon to Deck the Halls for kids crafts, meeting Santa and a little shopping. We went with Lisa and Justin and Grayson. Lisa's sister stopped in for a bit too. Here are the handsome princes:

This picture did not come out so good but Gavin jumped right up and told Santa he wanted Jessie, Bullseye and a bumble bee pillow pet (another find in the Hallmark store that he has not stopped talking about)

Off to do arts and crafts with the boys...

and that brings this weekend to the end.....we are ready to kick off the holidays this week. Hope everyone has a safe and happy one. We will miss our family that we won't be with, but are thankful for the family that we do get to enjoy this holiday...
