There are many times you hear of stories in the news of tragic events. It makes you sad at that moment but life goes on. Recently a friend of a friend of mine lost her husband. He died suddenly of a massive heart attack. 38 years old and two small children. I literally could not stop thinking about this for days and still can’t. I do not even know them. It just is one of those things that really makes it sink in that life is short and you can’t just let life pass you by. You have to tell the ones you love that you love them and never take a day for granted, be flexible, let things roll off your back and by golly…go out and experience all that the world has to offer. Our life is not perfect but I can tell you that I have no regrets as to how we are living our lives. We are busy but we get to experience a lot and I would not change that for anything. If something were to happen tomorrow, Gavin knows how much we love him and although he is young, I can guarantee that he will remember our adventures. With all of that said, last weekend I spent the weekend here:
The Shores hotel in Daytona. Preserving our family memories in the form of scrapbooks. I enjoy this so much and am so glad that I take the time to do this each year. My husband loves looking at my books and Gavin is starting to really enjoy them now too.
While I was away this is what the boys did:
Yes, they went to Universal.
Then Gavin went and spent the night at Gaylord Palms with my sister and the kids:
Upon my return on Sunday I had a house full of family. Just the way I like it. It was awesome having everyone over for a Sunday night dinner.
This week was the regular karate:
then I did my kick boxing, Chris played softball and Gavin did childrens choir on Wednesday. On to the weekend, we went and saw the REAL Power Rangers with Gavins friends:
Then off to baby Garrett’s first birthday party:
We had a fun fun day. Next, was off to church this morning. Here is by big boy before his performance:
Then of course, the picture taker that I am, are the photos of the performance itself:
Video to follow. I am uploaing it now. Everyone have a great week.
