The Camera is BAAaacckkk…….

Hello everyone…gonna start with a banner I saw instead of a quote.  I just love this

 

This was a fun week.  Karate was Tuesday.  Gavin is doing so well he is going to be going for his first belt later this month.  Can’t wait.  I think it is either a yellow or an orange belt.  He thinks it is blue because that is his favorite color.  Hope he is not disappointed.  So what else this week?  Well Gavin keeps watching the previews to the Smurf movie on my ipad.  He calls this guy BUBBA Smurf:

 

We keep telling him that it is Papa Smurf but he just won’t buy it.  Also, this week we got a package from my mom.  This is what was in it:

 

Wondering what this is?  It is a little music box that can go on Gavin’s train table.  He cranks it and it plays “I ‘ve been working on the railroad”.  He loves it!

 

We also got a package from grandma and pop pop with all of these goodies:

 

Oh my….Gavin won’t stop with the twizzlers.  He has resorted to bargaining for 5 of them….we usually negotiate down to 2 or 3 and a tooth brushing right after.  He did just go to the dentist this past week and got a good report.  Let’s hope we continue down that road. 

 

Speaking of packages…last Christmas my mom sent Gavin a gift and it sang the entire way to Florida a banjo like cow moo’ing sound.  I guess it really entertained everyone at the post office.  It was a “cow type” bowling game.  Gavin took an interest in this today and he was playing it: 

 

He is pretty good at getting all the pins down but cheats a little too much!

OK..so back to the week…when it was over I got in full gear to get some of these projects around here back on track.  As promised…here are the photos from what we did on the projects last weekend:

 

The first two is my new garage organization and the second two is our new and improved loft.  None of this is anything major but this is what we do here in Florida in the dead middle of the summer heat instead of hanging outside.  Did you notice that we really have done nothing lately and have just hung around here for the most part? 

 

Anyway…on to this weekend and projects. This was all solo as Chris was out of town at his golf outing.  Whew…my back hurts but I got all of this done:

 

Gavin loves his new play room and so do I.  All that is left is to change out the photo on the wall and get Gavin a big boy bed in his room and our summer projects will be DONE DONE DONE! 

Speaking of Chris’s golf weekend……these are the photos he brought home from the first annual “Norlis Cup” weekend:

 

They had a ball.   BTW…Norlis Cup is a combo of Norelli and Lollis who are the two who put this great weekend together.

Gavin did get to go over to his friend Josh’s house this weekend.  He did great in the pool and the boys got popsicles at the end…..

So..all in all…it was a great week.  Not a whole lot on tap here for the week other than the same ole same ole…work and karate……next weekend we are going to another baseball game, Gavin will be going to a ROLLER SKATING birthday party and we are going to a family friendly laser light show at the planetarium at the Orlando Science Center.  All sounds fun to me.  Good to have something to look forward too…..
