1st week in July 2011- Let the fun begin

Welcome to July…that can only mean one thing.  TIME FOR VACATION!

 

Anyway it is always fun on Sunday night when I sit down to do this because I pull photos off the camera from earlier in the week that I simply forgot that I took. this one is a typical morning in our house. Gavin LOVES to line things up:

This is pretty typical lately because of CARS2 just coming out.  He really took no interest in the movie, however, he has memorized those new characters and of course wants them all.

On to our fun/disasterous/ boiled down to an experience weekend.  We decided to go camping.  Sounded like a good idea and the compeny was great so off we went to:

This place is so very very cool.  We had gone there on Mother’s Day Weekend..  cool springs, canoeing  and this weekend there were fireworks so we thought we would camp there.  Oh NO…..we decided to come to the place where it had rained, flooded and the mud was abundant.  It just was not our scene.  We swam in the pool and decided we would ride it out.  It was very hot but we got camp set up:

Yes…I we all look happy but it was tough out there in the heat.

There were fireworks and ice cream that night and that was awesome.  We thought we were just getting through the night and then we threw  the towel in about midnight when Gavin would stop crying and screaming “I want to go home”.  THANK GOD because we wanted to as well.  Everyone else stayed  and Chris went back and helped clean up the grounds the next morning.  Don’t get me wrong…we are not afraid of camping and enjoy it…it was just the heat!  Anyway…we will try again in about 100 years and in October or November. 

On Sunday we had Gavin’s friend Ella over to play for a while:

 

Then our camping gang and the A family came over for a Low Country Boil and fireworks of our own:

That was lots of fun.  Monday we simply chilled as you can see:

 

So tomorrow is work and then Wednesday my mom and Pat arrive from TN and Thursday we are off on our cruise.  YAY…we are all packed and ready to roll.  Can not wait!

By the way to make your day grandma…Gavin kept pretending he was calling you this weekend.  He literally told you everything. 

 

For GRAMMIE(and Papa Pat) ….he told us this week that he only eats shrimp and your house….pretty funny!
