a backwards post.....

So here we are...warm weather! A friend and coworker of mine spent the week at the beach with her kids for Spring Break. They have a time share. I was at work picking up the slack. I did not mind because for the weekend she was giving us her time share because they had to go out of town for her sons soccer tournement. Anyway...it was just the greatest weekend ever! I am posting this in backwards order because I am tired and have a ton to do and it will save me time! This is today. We went to New Smyrna Dunes Park. It is right at Ponce Inlet on the New Smyrna side overlooking the light house. People can bring their dogs here too. There were lots of them! Gavin had fun building a sand castle and we all just enjoyed soaking up the sun and also watching the fishermen:

Last night after we went to dinner Gavin insisted on going on the beachside playground in the dark....so we did: We met our friend Judy and her daughter and her friend for dinner. The food and the company was just fabulous! These photos are before dinner and from our balcony: And this is yesterday at the Inlet, however, we entered from the beach at the jettys and not from the park. This was just an awesome beach spot as there were no cars on the beach. We will be going back here a lot! That is it for the weekend. This past week was a rough one. Chris had to work in South Florida and Gavin was emotional. He was perfect through the 2's but 3 has been a challange. He will grow out of it or we will get used to it! He is still he sweetest kid and loving as can be. He just is at that age. We still shake our heads every day in wonder that he is ours and so amazing too!

Good news though. Chris has been doing well enough with his survey work to leave his job at the city. We get the nights and weekends as a family back. I am so glad! This has been really rough over the past year for all of us.

Now that we are going to have our weekens back, the weather is nice again and Gavin is a little older I have a list of cool things that we are going to be doing this year...so here it is:

1) Sea World...of course since we bought the one day and get the rest of the year free

2) Orlando Science Center

3) Day out with Thomas the Train-April 9 in Tampa

4) Daytona USA

5) Brevard Zoo-we went once but got rained out. It was awesome and we want to go back!

6) Gatorland-Gavin and I have been with my sister but want to go with the whole family. They have a great splash park inside too.

7) Marineland-this has been around since before Sea World and is in St.Augustine. It is only $8 for admission too!

8) Canoeing down the Wekiva

9) Legoland...this is an amusement park that opens in October here.

10) Fort Desoto-want to go camping on the beach...
