Labor Day at the beach...TRADITION

The past few years we have been heading over to the beach with a group of friends on and off for both Memorial Day and Labor Day. Not really going consistently, however, after this weekend I am positive that it will be a tradition for sure. Lots of friends, sunshine, food and great times. BEST of all our little angel (yep..you guessed it...Gavin) just loves his time in the sand and surf. The best thing is that we go to this little hole in the wall motel. VERY clean but a little out of date. Plenty of room and parking and as a bonus the rooms have kitchens and it is very affordable.

An important part of our trip was eating of course. Here is Tony cooking out and Lisa making her apple crisp.....

Sunday on the beach was THE BEST! First the kids build Gavin a little mini pool in the sand...

and then Lisa showed up with an actual pool.....

Gavin did not budge. He played until he could not stand up anymore. SEE.......

Just some side notes. Gavin has learned how to say thank you and says it over and over and over again. It is so cute. Also he is getting really good at his animal sounds . Additionally, he can now tell you the sound that the letter A makes. Here is a little video:
